Dayone Inc. ("Dayone," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we store it, and what rights you have regarding your data.
This policy applies to all users of dayonehiring.com and the Fairness Transcript Service.

2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:

Generate Fairness Transcripts based on your inputs

We do not use your Fairness Transcript inputs to train AI models, build profiles, or sell to third parties.
3. How We Store Your Information
Fairness Transcript data (trial version): Trial Fairness Transcripts are generated and stored locally in your web browser (localStorage). This data never leaves your device unless you choose to print or save the transcript. Dayone does not have access to trial transcript data.
Fairness Transcript data (paid version): Paid Fairness Transcripts are generated in your browser. If server-side storage is enabled, transcripts may be stored on our secure servers to provide the Bias Assessment Dashboard, transcript history, and trend tracking features. This data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Account and payment data: Account information is stored securely by our website platform (Wix). Payment information is processed and stored by our payment processor (Stripe via Wix Payments). Dayone does not store credit card numbers or full payment credentials on our systems.
Email addresses collected through the free trial: Email addresses submitted through the free trial email gate are stored by Dayone for the purpose of follow-up communication about the Service. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 5).
4. Who We Share Your Information With
We share your information only with the following categories of service providers, solely as needed to operate the Service:

We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade your personal information to any third party. Ever.

6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Specifically:

Fairness Transcript data (server-side): Retained while your account is active. Deleted within 90 days of account closure upon request.

Free trial email addresses: Retained for up to 24 months from collection. You may request earlier deletion at any time.

Payment records: Retained for 7 years as required for tax and accounting compliance.

Analytics data: Aggregated and anonymized. Not linked to individual accounts after 26 months.
